APPROACH TO TREATMENT

Joyce’s core belief is that everyone has the capacity to unlock their strengths and live a meaningful, fulfilling life. Rooted in psychodynamic therapy and positive psychology, she offers a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental therapeutic space. Joyce helps clients explore how past experiences, attachments, and relationships shape present emotions and patterns—always with curiosity, compassion, and cultural sensitivity.

THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES

Joyce integrates several evidence-informed approaches, tailored to each client’s needs and developmental stage:

  • Psychodynamic Therapy – Understanding how past experiences shape current emotions and patterns.

  • Strength-Based Approach – Building on clients’ existing strengths and inner resources.

  • Mindfulness-Based Approaches – Supporting grounding and emotional regulation through present-moment awareness.

  • Play Therapy – Using play as a natural medium for children to express and process emotions.

  • Expressive & Creative Approaches (LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, Six Bricks) – Using creative, hands-on methods to support emotional expression.

Joyce tailors these approaches to children, adolescents, and adults, working collaboratively to support insight, resilience, and meaningful change.
