APPROACH TO TREATMENT
Kenny takes a holistic view of emotional well-being, recognizing that our experiences are shaped by relationships, culture, life circumstances, and the body’s own wisdom. Kenny brings cultural sensitivity and attunement to each therapeutic relationship, honouring the diverse contexts that influence who we are.
Kenny integrates a range of evidence-informed modalities, including:
-
Gestalt Therapy – Awareness, authenticity, and present-moment experience
-
Expressive Arts Therapy – Creative expression as a pathway to insight
-
Mindfulness-Based Approaches – Grounding and present-moment awareness
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – Exploring and shifting thought–feeling–behaviour patterns
-
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) – Building emotional regulation and coping skills
He tailors these approaches to each client’s needs and preferences. For some, this may involve exploring emotions through art or movement; for others, examining thought patterns through CBT, or developing embodied, present-moment awareness through Gestalt practices. Together, you will discover what resonates and supports your healing journey.
Kenny believes that meaningful change begins in the present moment. He supports clients in developing awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily experiences “here and now,” fostering self-acceptance, clarity, and deeper connection with themselves.
He views growth as a natural unfolding—not about becoming someone else, but about uncovering and embracing one’s authentic self. Kenny recognizes that healing requires patience, self-compassion, and practice, and he walks alongside clients with steadiness and care as they move toward resilience and emotional well-being.
