EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Carine holds a Master of Social Sciences in Psychology from the University of Hong Kong and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University with distinction. She brings more than ten years of experience in coaching, consulting, training, and team leadership, supporting people through personal growth, career development, and life transitions. She has also supported undergraduate coaching programs and facilitated parent coaching workshops. She is the Chief Author of “Open Your Heart Card”, a reflective tool designed to help people cultivate greater self-understanding, emotional awareness, clarity, and personal growth.

APPROACH TO TREATMENT

Carine takes an integrative, person-centred, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. She believes that every individual has a unique story, strengths, and capacity for growth. She works collaboratively with clients to understand how past experiences, relationships, and life stressors may influence emotional well-being, relationships, and physical health.

Her goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, strengthen resilience, improve relationships, and create meaningful and lasting change.

Carine integrates several evidence-based approaches, selecting methods based on what will best support each client’s needs and therapeutic goals. These include:

PERSONAL BACKGROUND

As a mother of two children, including a young child and a teenager, Carine understands the challenges of balancing parenting demands, family responsibilities, and everyday life. She enjoys reading and writing, and loves reading with her young child daily.

Having travelled to more than 30 countries, Carine has developed a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and the importance of understanding people within their unique cultural, relational, and personal contexts. She brings this perspective into the therapy room through cultural humility, curiosity, and a genuinely responsive approach that honours each client’s unique background, worldview, and lived experience.
