Miranda Cheung is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), as well as with the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).  

AREAS OF FOCUS

While focusing on the forensic social work area, and has worked in the Youth and Adult Mental Health Sectors for over 15 years, Miranda offers individual counselling services and psychotherapy to individuals experiencing behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Miranda is fluent in English and Cantonese.  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Miranda graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario in Canada, and a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of Hong Kong. Before immigrating to Canada, Miranda worked for the Hong Kong Government. Miranda’s social work practice includes both clinical and case management skills. In Canada, she has worked in family service centers, mental health agencies, hospitals, probation offices, high schools as well as the Mental Health and Youth Justice Courts, respectively. Through the experience as a Probation Officer, a Mental Health Court Clinician, as well as a Youth Justice Court Worker, Miranda also developed forensic knowledge of the Canadian Criminal Justice System and the Law and Mental Health.
