Fees & Practices

As a private practice, my services are not covered by OHIP.

However, they may be covered wholly or partially by extended health insurance plans. Please check with your extended health insurance provider to determine whether you have coverage for psychotherapy/counselling services and whether a referral letter is needed.

Psychotherapy/counselling services can also be claimed as a medical expense tax deduction when you file your income tax return. Fees are paid at the end of each session. An invoice will be issued to you for each session, which can be used for reimbursement from your insurance company and income tax purposes.

The fee schedule varies depending on the nature of the services. Please contact me to discuss the nature of your issues and fees. Sliding scale payments are accepted if needed.

A typical one-hour session is 50 minutes long with 10 minutes allocated to documentation and paper work.

In all cases, the identities of clients and their self-disclosures are handled in a strictly confidential manner. There are however, a few exceptions to client confidentiality due to legal or ethical obligations. You will be informed about these exceptions during your first session.
